Handpresso products are created in France by Handpresso Sarl, manufactured in China, and imported and distributed in Canada by Wespresso Inc.

The technology of espresso machines is increasingly sophisticated and expensive. Handpresso decided to go the opposite way and look for simplicity. That led to the Handpresso Wild, a machine slightly larger than a Swiss knife that you always want to carry with you. “The idea was to serve a perfect espresso with the right amount of water and coffee”, says Henrik Nielsen, who invented this new concept. The technological side of Handpresso is how they have managed to make such a complex machine so simple and small.

Wes McIntyre (aka Wespresso) has been involved in Espresso since 1997 where he trained as an espresso machine service technician in Vancouver BC Canada. In 1998 he moved to Whistler BC where he founded Wespresso of Whistler and built a company providing coffee and espresso service to hotels, restaurants and cafés.

“I have gone from working on some of the largest, most complex espresso machines in the world to distributing the simplest, smallest one ever manufactured. Handpresso is the greatest innovation in espresso since the Faema E-61 group head.  Espresso is magic, Handpresso is magic anywhere!”

Wes is still based in Whistler but spends much of his time promoting Handpresso around Canada
